Trailer: The Wolf of Wall Street

Directed by Martin Scorsese
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Matthew McConaughey
Featuring Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead”

My initial reaction is that this film feels like early 90s Scorsese — in your face and completely self-aware of what it intends to be. It also has these flecks of Oliver Stone-level attitude, but that could just be the subject matter and his history with it.

These are the kinds of roles DiCaprio should be devoting himself to, these over-the-top, in-your-face characters. I think they play to his strengths because, let’s face it, as an actor, DiCaprio doesn’t have a subtle bone in his body.

The Wolf of Wall Street isn’t coming out until November 15, so we have plenty of time to wait, which will undoubtedly be filled with extended trailers and crazy amounts of buzz.

Is this the year DiCaprio gets his Best Actor Oscar?

Matt Damon is the perfect modern movie star. Second only to Tom Hanks. And this film will be incredible. Currently, it’s nestled alongside Pacific Rim as the summer movie I’m most looking forward to.

Good question. I guess it is getting to be about the time where movies are released that are worth blogging about.

I saw The Internship a few weeks ago and I didn’t hate it; generally enjoyable. I also really liked Star Trek Into Darkness. Fuck the haters, that movie was enjoyable as all get-out. I liked it more than Iron Man 3 anyway. And, as you know, I saw This Is The End two nights ago and it was awesome. Very funny and actually not as one-note as I was expecting.

I think the next visits to the cineplex will be for Man of Steel, World War Z, and Pacific Rim. Man date soon?

It's rainy. It's Friday. I finished all of my work for the day like 3 hours ago. Who's got questions?

I had managed, up until now, to not have “The Red Wedding” spoiled. I tried so hard to just ignore anything that said “Game of Thrones” (which is a lot, by the way) just to be safe.

And I’m scrolling this morning and see yesterday afternoon’s post from fuckyeahthelastframe. (Don’t click unless you’ve seen the episode.)

Valid point, but people who call it a JAY PEG are also wrong. I call it a JAY PEE GEE. You know why? Because the .jpeg extension isn’t wholly reliable for a lot of upload formats. If your file is named with the extension .jpeg, certain upload tools won’t accept it until you change it to .jpg.

JAY PEE GEE and GIF. Live it. Love it.

Plus, I prefer PNG files (PING!) because, transparent backgrounds, bitches.
